Ideally, I started my business base on my hobby, planting flowers with beautiful pots. In the past, whenever I shopped for pots, most pots I found did not match the flowers I wanted to pair with them. I started to notice there is not enough beautifully designed pots on the market. I really wanted to match the right pots with the right flowers. I wondered how many people like me out there are having a hard time with their gardens. That thought led me to learn how to make earthenware and eventually to start a small pottery business.
First off, I learned how to do pots at the amateur level. I quickly advanced and started to introduce my work to friends, families even close neighbors. At the beginning, the power of my creative designs for my pottery spread out to my neighbor’s friends and relatives. Later on, they encouraged me to start a small pottery business. I believed what they told me. I also believed in myself and my ability to create new pottery designs that no one has seen before. In 2013, I started a local pottery business called “PaHtatWi” dedicated to the earth that produces the beautiful clay that can be transformed into attractive handcrafted pieces of art.
Now days, I receiving a lot of local and nationwide custom orders, especially from hospitality businesses, wedding parties and so on. I have hired professional pottery associates to increase our quality and quantity to meet the demand. Recently I have extended my business into the global market through the online shopping website http://www.pahtatwi.com.” Yes, some dreams can lead you to go global with your product. Just, never give up and never stop trying to “reach for your dream”.
Mission
All the products from my shop must be original designs and also maintain Myanmar’s cultures and arts. The price must be very reasonable and service must be excellent. By doing that, I want to prove that I’m a true Burmese, who works hard, smart and loves to maintain cultures and arts based on my hobby. One thing I also believe is near future, people around the world will know more about Myanmar’s culture and arts which can bring more business in alternate way.
